We’ve got some exciting news! Thanks to many of our clients asking about other services, we’re happy to share we’ve officially rolled out enhanced testing services for all our locations! carafem health centers will now provide testing for Sexually Transmitted Infections, Vaginal Infections, and Urinary Tract Infections. By adding testing, we are bringing our approachable and client-centered health care experience to another service that has typically been uncomfortable, and in some cases, intimidating.
What to Expect
Most of our testing appointments are quick, painless and do not require a physical exam –meaning you don’t have to take your clothes off. When you come to one of our health centers, you’ll have a private one-on-one meeting with a clinician who will talk to you about your health history and symptoms. In some instances, you’ll be asked to provide a urine sample (pee in a cup) or to swab your vaginal area. While some tests can be done in house, most are sent out to laboratory for analysis. We typically get results within 5 days or less. Should a test be positive, don’t stress. We will provide easy to understand information and treatment options all without judgement and based around your schedule.

Chlamydia and Gonorhhea (The most common STIs.)
Herpes (While there isn’t a cure, we can help get you some relief.)
Vaginal infections (We can treat many different types.)
