Questions about orders

Many of the most common questions we get from our clients can be answered without needing to call. Check below for answers related to orders, email confirmations, consent forms, and at-home abortion care.

 

Orders

Where is my confirmation email?

We know you want to feel confident your booking went through. You should get a confirmation email within a few minutes of scheduling your appointment or placing your order.

If you don’t see it:

  • Peek in your spam or junk folder (sometimes emails hide there)

  • Make sure the email address you gave us was correct

  • Try searching your inbox for “carafem” — it often pops right up

If it’s still missing, give us a call. We can confirm your details and clear up any questions.

Orders

Where are my consent forms?

After you schedule an appointment or request online care, you'll receive a text and email with a link to complete your consent forms. These are really important to complete. Remember, we can't ship your medication until we receive them.

If you don’t see your consent forms:

  • Look in your spam or junk folder in case our email it didn't make it to your priority inbox

  • Make sure the email address and phone number you gave us were correct

  • Try searching your inbox for "carafem"

Problems with your consent forms? You can reply to the text message we sent, call us at (855) 729-2272, or send a message through the Athena client portal and we’ll make sure you get what you need.

Shipping

Where is my package?

After you complete your consent forms it might take 1-2 business days until your care request is reviewed and approved by a clinician. Then, once you are approved, we’ll ship your medications and send you a tracking number.

How long does it take?

  • If you haven’t completed your consent forms yet, check your texts and emails. We can’t ship medications until these are complete.

  • Once you are approved, your package should arrive within 1–4 business days of shipping.

  • Sometimes delays happen (weather, mail slowdowns). Your tracking information will adjust if this is the case.

If you don't see your tracking number: Double check your texts and check your spam or junk folder for a message from us. Otherwise, give us a call so we can check on it and make sure you get what you need.

Your package includes step-by-step instructions that will guide you through the exact steps you need to take to complete your abortion process.

How to get support:

  • Send a text to your virtual care assistant. Cara will send you help and reminders once you start the at-home abortion process. You can always send questions and concerns to get help from our team.

  • Call (855) SAY-CARA to talk. If you want reassurance, or just need to talk to someone, you can always give us a ring.

If you’ve misplaced your instructions or feel unsure at any point, please get in touch. You don’t have to guess — we’ll guide you through it.
