During a time when some policy makers are working to place increasingly restrictive laws that aim to put abortion out of reach, many are concerned about their rights as well as their access to abortion and reproductive health care. carafem is speaking out about the importance of people being allowed to decide what’s best for them when it comes to their medical care.
With national uncertainty about access to abortion looming, the real agenda of some policy makers is to ban abortion outright. We at carafem are launching a new outdoor advertising and digital video campaign to help destigmatize abortion and birth control and to unapologetically support each person’s ability to decide whether and when to become a parent.
The outdoor campaign includes bold carafem-pink ads in high-traffic areas in Washington, DC and Chicago, Illinois. The billboards display a message clearly stating, “I choose if, and when, I’ll have children” over strong, confident imagery, and the unapologetically bold tagline, “Abortion. Yeah, we do that.” and “Birth Control. We do that too.”
